28th April 2026 – Legal Innovation & Tech Festival, Sydney. Panel speaker Technology & Innovation Leaders Strategic Outlook. Participated in a panel with technology leaders from major law firms on AI adoption, evaluation, governance, and the challenges of deploying AI systems in professional workflows.
23rd April 2026 – Maddocks (Law Firm). Delivered an AI governance briefing on Australia’s National AI Plan, agentic AI risk, and evaluative infrastructure. The session focused on how legal and organisational contexts are reshaping expectations around accountability, explainability, and responsible AI deployment.
13 April 2026 — 4BC Drive with Gary Hardgrave. Interview on Queensland’s move to criminalise non-consensual deepfakes and why education matters alongside legislation.

2nd – 6th December 2025 – I was contacted for comment by ABC National radio the evening before Australia’s National AI Plan was released. During the week I appeared twice on ABC National Radio (AM drive and PM drive), as well as on Canberra Radio 2CC and Perth Radio 6PR. Featured on ABC AM in coverage of the federal government’s National AI Plan, alongside Andrew Charlton and Julian Thomas. A feature article by Karen Barlow in The Saturday Paper also included my feedback. I was also included in SciMex expert comments on the topic as well as featured in a press release from the University of Sydney.
11th October 2025 – Interviewed on ABC Radio Drive discussing the impending social media ban for people under 16 years old in Australia (from time 2:34:40 into this episode).
9th October 2025 – Interviewed for an article published on ABC news “Expert says AI-generated image of missing four-year-old Gus is concerning but not surprising”. Followed by an appearance on ABC TV news later that day, and then on ABC radio Drive.
8th April 2025 – Article published in The Canberra Times and associated papers. “Did Donald Trump use AI to set US tariffs?”
7th April 2025 – Article published in The Australian Financial Review. “ChatGPT told Trump how to set tariffs — and now the world’s paying for it. “Vibe-Governing” suggests policymakers are letting AI-generated content guide major economic or political decisions, leading us into surreal, potentially dangerous territory.”

23rd May 2024 – News Corp and OpenAI partnership raises ethical concerns, The New Daily. I was invited to give comments on the impact this partnership could have on society. My comments were requoted in The Saturday Paper, The Guardian, and Women’s Agenda.
9th May 2024 – Presented some of my research from Google to the MINT Lab (Machine Intelligence and Normative Theory) at the Australian National University: Designing the “World Bench” and Sociotechnical Mapping .
21st April 2024 – 60 minutes featured a piece about AI images misleading people in Scotland. The Willy Wonka DIsaster. I make several comments on what this could mean for larger implications in our societies.
4th April 2024 – Information Age, a publication by the Australian Computing Society. OpenAI debuts voice cloning. But ‘serious risks’ halt a public release by Tom Williams. My comments are included.
1st April 2024 – ABC World Today (national news radio program). AI company says voice generator too risky for release by Angus Randall. My comments are included.
20th February 2024 – I was invited to be on a panel of experts by SciMex (a Science and Media portal for Australia and New Zealand) to give journalists additional background on deepfakes, OpenAI’s SORA video generating AI, and AI ethics.
